Salt and Pepper Pots

This is my submission for a second year Product Design module. The task was to design, manufacture, market and sell a product and sell a minimum of 20. My idea was to recycle alcohol bottles to from Salt & Pepper Pots. I produced three designs; 7 Beer sets (Desperados and Silicone), 7 White Wine sets (Light Green bottle and Cork) and 6 Cider sets (Aspalls and Plywood).

I used a wide range of manufacturing processes and materials in the production process. This included the diamond edged saw and flat bed grinder to cut the glass, the lathe to manufacture three silicone moulds, and the laser cutter to cut out plywood tops and bottoms.

I sold 20 sets of the pots', which I named 'Alcopots', as a play on the term Alcopops.
