When we talk about elderly care the term in physiology it is stated as Activities of daily living or ADLs. There 2 types of ADLs.
a) Basic ADLs
These are activities are basics of self caring.
Instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) are not necessary for fundamental functioning, but they let an individual live independently in a community.
So how do we evaluate these ASLs. How do we know exact tasks where elderly require most real help with. ADLS can be evaluated using the katz tools.
katz tools give us the ratio where an individual elderly or disabled elderly require help in a given task and upto which measure.
And we look carefully these tasks are no rocket science. For a normal independent living senior citizen, we don't need to deploy nurses to carry such tasks.
The solution that presents itself is one of the following
a) Homecare
b) Paid household care
c) Nursing homes

Second set is sequential decision making
