Pei Jung (P.J.) Chen

The title “0” brooches have taken inspiration from Buddhist philosophy- the concept of pure mind as the source of everything. I am interested in how a rapidly changing mind shapes unlimited imagination. My intention in making jewelry (brooches) is to create an environment that fosters mind changing. The interaction of mind changing takes place in this work by conjunction of using numbers, and the limited quality of circles and squares. When seeing an ordinary object turns into an abstract image, a greater imagination is released in viewers’ minds.
