Final Design...
This image was used as apart of my presentations during the 2011 International Home + House Wares Show.
Due to this presentation we managed to secure new buyers for our ambitious new flagship range.
Initial sketches exploring, and addressing the issue that the majority of “Filter Jugs” in the market often look passive and unresolved. My ambition was to create a product that felt more like a piece of high-end house-wares, that would sit proudly on a dining table when entertaining your friends and family.

Water Filtration Jug

  • VERY NICE!

  • Nice design Phil, I really like dropping the handle that often takes up so much room in the fridge in favor of a clean space-saving shape. Rendering looks like you're using texture or co-molded silicon for the grip area, subtle indented areas on either side might also help with leverage when the jug is full/heavy. Keurig uses a detail like this on the water jug of one of their standard coffee makers and it works quite well. Better looking than anything I've seen on the shelf, you've got my money if it comes to market!

  • I love the elegant taste of this design! It will be perfect if add an soft integrated cupped handle area on tank back shell :). Nice work!

  • It's great to see a strong design element made out of the reserve tank. Nice renders, too.
