Surface Ornamentation
During my internship period at Abraham and Thakore, I developed a series of samples of surface ornamentation. Taking inspiration from the Byzantine mosaics, and combining it with the geometry of weaving, the samples have a rustic feel with the corroded gold in emphasis. The square grid comes from the structure of a weave and is experimented with in various ways.
