Events - The Flash Camp Philly comps were created for an impromptu breakout session with Adobe evangelist Ryan Stewart to demo Catalyst 1.0. The idea was to repurpose the printed event poster so that the user could locate each of the 20+ sessions for Flash Camp Philly via a one click interactive map. SAP Flash Experimental UI - Here a user can directly select a folder from the file system or "dial into" a category. Once a folder is selected its contents are revealed in the slide out screen. This 2004 concept UI is one of my first explorations into my passion for "simplexity" in design. It also began my transition from developer to UX with exploration into HCD and design thinking.
HDX Screens - Originally developed by PDA Media for a pitch to FEARnet for the web release of 8 new HD movies on the fearnet.com website via the proprietary third party Vividas web player. In this demonstration I used Flash as a call to action screen (ala 80's arcade games) as an aide to encourage the user to download and install the Vividas Player. Funny how our users were more afraid of plugin's and legalease than 1 eyed monsters or 2 eyed ex-wrestlers with 1 hatchet.
