TimeSlot is an app that let's a user book appointments with their hairstylist.
The challenge of this project was to create a simple user interface, while not limiting the options available to the users. And for the hairstylist, we also needed to allow them to control their own calendar, but still allow access to their customers to book directly through the app.
Due to the complexity of the project, we used hand drawn sketches, use-case diagrams, user personas, feedback with hairstylists and other user research, prototyping, and usability testing. This app took multiple revisions and refinements, in some cases changing our original app architecture due to false original assumptions.
The final result reduced number of pages to book an appointment. It reached a balance between the needs of different stakeholders, customers and service providers.
Note: The app is not in the app store at this time, due to trademark disputes with the name.
