This is the best picture remaining of the trunk in its original state. There were also holes in the other side. Overall it was not a pretty site.
This trunk now sits in my room as a reminder of what I can do with enough effort.
This cabinet took a lot of repairs, sanding, and staining to get it into a condition that makes me proud to use it in my room.

Antique Refinishing

I worked on the antique trunk as a 4-H project when I was a junior in high school. I think it represents my essence of strength. The trunk was originally beat up, had holes, and was missing straps. I restored a very old item to the point that I was getting large monetary offers for it when I displayed it. After all the work I put in it still sits in my room and helps remind me what I can do with enough effort. The cabinet is another project that I really think shows my desire to restore and create lasting items.
