This is the exploded view of the model of our combination lock. In our design there are more false gates to confuse anyone that tries to guess the combination. It will greatly increase the number of attempts that must be included in a combination guessing algorithm. My part in this project included all of the costing based on the manufacturing processes the group determined would be necessary to create this product.

ME 324 Combination Lock

This project was done in ME 324 with a group including Peter Maenke, Katie Harms, and Brody Upah. I think this project demonstrates my essence of will. We tore this lock apart and looked for ways to improve it. This was no small task as locks have been perfected for hundreds of years. However, we forced ourselves to get creative and came up with a lock that had more false gates to foil attempts at guessing the combination.
