Belts are usually sold with a branded plastic hanger. We needed to tell a story and explain the features of an Industrial Strength belt so we used a plastic die-cut hanger card.The line was expanded with Kevlar suspenders and wallets reinforced at the folds.

These seasonal gifts have no Industrial Strength features, but buyers liked the look as opposed to the guideline-specific black twill. These items have no mention of Industrial Strength in the packaging.

I developed this look for the Dickies Industrial Strength line of belts that featured riveted stress points and reinforced adjuster holes. We were given permission by Dickies to deviate from the brand guidelines for this particular project. This design language was inspired by the end user, the blue-collar laborer. It eventually carried over to Dickies seasonal gifts. 2012 to current.
