Accelerated Wear Tester

The goal here was to take the existing 'Hi-Cycle" test apparatus and simplify it's functionality and increase it's serviceability. These machines are designed and built for the sole purpose of subjecting artificial heart valves to accelerated wear tests where they reproduce physiological loading at up to 1650 cycles/minute. Driven by a voice coil with a variety of pressure sensors and valves that were used to adjust system settings and to record data. A majority of the parts are constructed from clear acrylic in order to view flow of fluid.
