In order to load the blast pots with grit I had to improve upon the old and unsuitable hoppers. These new hoppers were fabricated using 4x4 HSS and needed to support close to 5 tonnes of grit. The ladder and upper working platform were required to provide the operators access to the rigging gear and the hopper lid.
