Pankha (Fan) - I have painted a traditional Indian Pankha (fan) The design is very Indian too using paisleys, leaves and other Indian design elements. This Fan (Pankha) is mainly used by people in the indian state of Rajasthan where it is hand painted or decorated with various kinds of embellishments like mirrors, shells etc. As the fan is used to provide Air in the hot weather I have used cool colour scheme. This has been rendered using poster paints and also follows the design principle of symmetry.
Pankha (fan) design - I have used the hand painted Pankha (fan) as in the previous slide and made an ethnic design with it. I have used the fan in repitition and below that created a patten using semi circles signifying the basic shape of a fan. in the pattern the white semi circles are used to form the word Pankha (Fan).
Patang (Kite) - I have painted a traditional Indian Kite (Patang in Hindi). The design is a 2 Dimensional design done using different textures and i have used mainly warm colours as these complement the colours of the sky. In india, 14th January is celebrated as Makarsankranti which is a festival when people fly kites which really inspired me to do this design seeing how beautiful the colourful kites look in the wide open sky.
Patang (kite) Design - I have used the hand painted Patang (kite) as in the previous slide and made an ethnic design with it. I have used the Kite in repitition and below that created a patten using triangles as a kite is made up of 4 triangles. In the pattern the white triangles are used to form the word Patang (kite).
