Cannons Health Club is private members only club, which offers fully air-conditioned gyms, swimming pools, aqua and fitness classes and a range of beauty treatments. I worked on the design development and implementation across 3 new sites in the UK and Holland.
The personalised nature of the gym training required a centralised computer and workout programme accessible from beyond the reception area between the gym equipment and workout studio’s.
To the rear and perimeter of the layout in a private treatment space was the health and beauty area.
A variety of treatments were offered in individual consultancy rooms each of which had specialist equipment that each required storage.
Each gym also contained two pools (one of which was Olympic sized). In 2 instances these pools were in the basement level together with sauna and steam-room facilities.
The design of the gym also needed to incorporate its own crèche to contain a variety of children activity programmes.
