4 Industrial Design

For our Small Business Project, we decided to target the nichemarket of adventurous wheelchair users. Research showed that one of their main problems is having 'wet legs in rainy weather'.

Our product consists of a carbonfibre rod in combination with a watertight textile and side release buckles, which makes the product easy to install and use. A bag with customizable (3D printed) wheel connectors allows the user to connect the bag to the wheelchair wheels, so the lightweight product can be carried everywhere.

The focus of this project was the creation of a realistic business plan and a proper marketing for our product. VOCHTECH, our 'fictive company', will design all kinds of advanced, foldable rain protections in the future, as products for strollers, trailers, etc.
