R Walker Whyte

In a studio project sponsored by Leather Miracles LLC at Appalachian State Universtiy, I was prompted to design an original contemporary seating element, using visual language cues from that company's portfolio, modern trends, and with leather as the primary material. My final design, the Gersemi, achieved a Finalist position in the competition. It was designed for comfort, efficient material usage, and economic shipping costs, in addition to fulfilling the problem statement.
