Motorola/Symbol Technologies 9208 presentation barcode scanner.
Designed while working at Thinkable Studio and developed in close conjunction with Motorola mechanical and electrical engineering teams overseas. As lead designer I was responsible for providing initial design directions in sketch form, then several rounds of form factor exploration with quick surface models in Alias. I used Solidworks to create several rapid prototypes and then final appearance models which were taken to members of the Arcadia group for evaluation and feedback. With the Thinkable team I then supported the Motorola mechanical engineers by providing all external surface data and several internal features to aid toolability.
