The original platform in Sport Flips, Casual Flips, Premium Leather Flips and Slides.
"The best flip-flops ever" - I.D. ADR judge
The original platform transformed into a sporty, strappy sandal. Due to launch Spring 2014
New, thinner and more formal cork platform, in one of many upper designs. Due to launch Spring 2014
Cork wrapped Casual Flip even contained 30% cork in the midsole.
The key to SOLE's successful footwear lines are the shape - the high medial arch is supportive but flexible and the deep heel cup encourages the fat pad under the heel to function naturally.
3M Thinsulate insulation was used to create the insulated models, in three different thicknesses for different sports and activities.
Bio-composite plastic clips, paper strings and recycled/recyclable paper backing cards created a beautiful package that was sustainable, eye-catching, and allowed the consumer to easily take the product out to feel and try in their shoe.
Older packaging was made of PLA (polylactic acid), a bioplastic made from corn starch. As far as I know, this was the first use of PLA in non-food-related packaging. New materials and sustainability are one of my primary focuses.
