The key to SOLE's successful footwear lines are the shape - the high medial arch is supportive but flexible and the deep heel cup encourages the fat pad under the heel to function naturally.
3M Thinsulate insulation was used to create the insulated models, in three different thicknesses for different sports and activities.
Bio-composite plastic clips, paper strings and recycled/recyclable paper backing cards created a beautiful package that was sustainable, eye-catching, and allowed the consumer to easily take the product out to feel and try in their shoe.
Older packaging was made of PLA (polylactic acid), a bioplastic made from corn starch. As far as I know, this was the first use of PLA in non-food-related packaging. New materials and sustainability are one of my primary focuses.
