The Cité des Sciences science museum wanted to transform, upgrade and extend the Carrefour numerique - a free-access space dedicated to digital technologies for general public - in order to make it a fablab+livinglab package. The space organisation that we propose is turning around the issue of space flexbility in order to get a real freedom of use. The project is simple: a free plan and a technical ceiling which powers some connection nodes; these nodes are fitted with some connection supports which allow any visitor to plug in the physical network (electricity, Internet, machinery network) and the social network (fablab community).
