Mia's Chair, an exercise in Scandinavian design - I produced this chair while studying in Copenhagen in the summer of 2009. The design in based on implied volume, lightness and clarity of direction. Not entirely Scandinavian, I created a dinner chair with two fold movement while sitting. the seat plane is cantilevered and has a bit of bounce, and the seat back's long rolled support allowing for lean-back and a bit of rock. This chair is meant for lively conversation. Named for my roommate and inspiration in Copenhagen.
