Pulse Energy Bars - Proposed package design for a new all-natural energy bar. The concept that drove this design was to create packaging that stepped away from the conventional design for natural food products and actually design it to look flavorful and appetizing. I utilized strong deep colors for the different flavors with the logo large and demanding to give them prominence on the store shelves. This project included name and tagline development, logo design, and package design.

S3X Ad Campaign #1 - S3X, was a brainchild of mine while creating a conceptual razor for fcuk (French Connection United Kingdom). So, staying in line with the visual trickery fcuk deploys in their logo mark, I created The S3X (Superior Triple Blade) razor. To further develop this concept I created this ad campaign that keeps the innuendos flowing. Sexually provocative and attention grabbing, these ads attempt to get the emotions heightened in either direction... well did they?

Through intense research and understanding, the identity is visually conveyed through the implementation of Neo-Platonism qualities in the design elements and dialogue with the intended audience. The posters were developed in the same manner in which Plato and Socrates would philosophize the meaning of our existence - answer, then ask a question of that answer.

FSC- Design 21 Contest - Proposed FSC Awareness Campaign For Sustainable Forestry. I created this campaign by first developing a core message: 'Respect The Tree & Buy FSC'. Within the sustainable forestry approach the chainsaw is not evil, it is part of the solution. We do cut down trees, but we replace with seeds to grow more. I use the iconic shape of the chainsaw and when examining the teeth of the saw you see they are trees growing, then cut and reseeded to grow again. The cycle of sustainable forestry.

Earth Summit Poster - The Earth Summit is annual meeting of world leaders to discuss and try to solve all problems that the world faces - hunger, global climate, etc. I created this poster with the idea to not only encompass all the problems without alienating even one, but also incorporate a sense of human equality. The seven piles of dirt are symbolic of the seven continents of the world. Most importantly, they symbolize the earth and the problems we face as a human race, one not more important than the other.
Mothers of Invention Poster: White Out - Concept poster for the "Women of Invention" speaking engagement at Stanford University. Bette Nesmith Graham invented White Out. I created an idea to demonstrate the frustrations of the typewriter and making mistakes, by misspelling "Mistake". I feel it brings a good sense of humor while clearly demonstrating this simple, yet useful invention without getting too serious.
Lakers Shot Chart - Concept - Information design with sports, couldn't ask for anything more. The Lakers' shot chart displays information that is used everyday in a new and visually appealing way. The purple color bars indicate the quarters of a basketball game and the white column indicates the players and the shots taken. The upper shots of the chart are listed by time in the quarter they were taken and the lower shots are the complete sum of shots taken per quarter.
