A comparison between my very first self portrait in my cartoon style back in 2009 (left), and my brand new one in 2013 (right). Whilst I am unlikely to display a lot of my old work, I feel it is important to show progress. My skill has improved considerably in the last 4 years, however there is always room to improve!
A desktop wallpaper I created whilst making a video review of Star Wars: The Old Republic (which I then abandoned, as it was not living up to my own standards).
A quick image made to cheer up a friend who'd spent the evening around increasingly drunk people at a reception. They did not have fun. :P
The next set of images are some previews for another video series I'm working on based on the video game FTL: Faster Than Light. I decided to move away from review style content as there was no way I could make videos fast enough to stay topical without a drastic drop in quality, and my criticism left something to be desired! I'm just too soft on stuff. :P The admiral of the fleet, voiced by by myself. Not an actual character in the game, but created to help with the narrative.
Captain Lilith of the Eldritch, voiced by a friend. The main character and one of the crew of your ship in the game.
Science officer Arkham, not voiced. Another crew member in the game FTL.
Engineer Williams, not voiced. The last crew member of your ship in FTL at the start. None of the characters themselves actually exist in the game, they were all created to frame the otherwise randomly generated game in a coherent narrative.
A member of the Mantis race in FTL.
A member of the Slug race in FTL.
A member of the Rock race in FTL.
A member of the Zoltan race in FTL.
A member of the Engi race in FTL. This was the hardest to do, as the sprites for the creature in game are vague to say the least, and completely top down. This is mostly how I imagine them in my mind from what I can tell of the images.
A quick comic strip created to celebrate completing packing for a house move.
Another short comic, this one inspired by somewhat funny line in a play through of They Bleed Pixels.
Another short comic, on the subject of magic and it's ability to backfire.

Mad Doodles

This is a selection of images, and some video, of my Mad Doodles cartoon work I have been working on for several years.

It's safe to say Mad Doodles is my pride and joy.
