Motorola ROKR E8 - Worked on a team of designers and engineers who patented the "morphing" technology featured on this product. Concept is that only the physical keys necessary to complete a task are displayed to the user. I worked with designers to define which keys should be shown during which applications and engineers to ensure those designs could be implemented.
Design Specification for Hardkey Mappings - I created this design specification used by engineering and design teams throughout the product development process of the Motorola ROKR E8 to communicate design requirement to engineers.
Example UI flow - Example of documenting user flows in Illustrator. I did this type of documentation on many UI features for mobile phones in the middle stages of design.
Camera Application UI Design - I led the design of the Motorola camera application on non-touch mobile devices for 3 years. As the primary designer in the imaging space, I worked on multiple products, customizing the camera UI design per product configuration and keyset and ensuring the design fits into the existing mobile phone architecture and design style guides.
Mind Map - I created this mind map during the discovery and research phase of design for a docking station. I wanted to better understand all of the reasons a user would use a docking station and how those needs can be best illustrated visually.
Paper prototype flows - I created these quick hand sketches to illustrate my design ideas for a mobile phone project. This is an example of my work in the initial phases on a design project. These paper prototypes are quick and easy to edit while still communicating the design intent.
Motorola Razr2 - For the follow on product to the Razr, I was responsible for the design of the multimedia applications which are available on the external display including the music player.
Motorola iTunes application - I designed and maintained the first iTunes application for a mobile phone which was shipped on the Motorola e398. I worked with Apple designers to ensure consistency with their brand and flow of iTunes as well as Motorola design and engineering teams to ensure consistency with Motorola phone applications.
Motorola w775 - For this product, I proposed the keyset and functionality for the external display. This product was a success at Verizon, capturing about 12-15% of sales in that category. This product has Bluetooth settings, music, and choosing a ringer style. Bluetooth setting from the external display was a new proposal for any product in Motorola or our competitors.
The Grenade - For the Masters of Product Development program, the final project is to create a new product concept with a business case, marketing plan, market research, ethnography, financial projects, and a filed patent. For this product, I was instrumental in selecting the white space, planning and performing the market research, conducting ethnography studies, and compiling the final paper. It was my work on this product that helped me realize my potential and dream to be developing new consumer products.
Information Architecture Example - This example is detailing the information architecture for the camera application on a mobile phone. I created this document to illustrate the current state of the application for my work integrating feature sets for 3rd party digital cameras.

Example Flow - This example maps the physical interface to the digital interface of a potential touch screen implementation. For this project, we had a limited number of touch segments to work with. I mapped all of the desired use cases into these segments to see if the current mechanical ID plan would work for all of the UI experiences desired. This project was a great experience in working with mechanical and electrical engineering teams as well as software to create a seamless user experience.

Visio process flow example - This piece is an example of using Visio (Omnigraffle) to create a high level process flow. I use this type of documentation to illustrate higher level issues to a development team or internal design team.
