Maji Pump (Water pump)
An affordable, effective and locally maintainable pump system designed for the town of Longido in Tanzania. The Longido area is a Maasai settlement that suffers from severe shortage of water in the summer months.
Primary research for this project took place on site at Longido in December, 2014. We worked with members of the Maasai tribe and local leaders to truly understand the pertinent needs.
