Daisy. - This photo was actually shot on a subdivision sidewalk right in front of the golf course hills. This is a favorite shot of mine because it contains a few of my favorite elements of photography: depth of field, macro, a good composition, and mood setting lighting.
Hang On! - I'm really proud of this shot because shots like this are rare for anyone. It's a "right place at the right time" kind of shot. It was taken at the Cincinnati Zoo in the butterfly room.
Looking Up. - This shot was taken of a building in Indianapolis. The reason I like this photo is not only because of the vivid blue sky and the contrast it has with the brick wall, but the great example of pattern and lines that the composition creates.
Blue Eyes - I know what you're thinking...quite the amateur, taking pictures of her adorable little pet. But I must disagree, because for one, it's not my pet, two I'm a dog person, and three, the real reason I chose this shot was because of how well it represented good cropping for a composition and the great colors the shot possesses. Also, the way he is staring you down with those insane blue eyes of his is quite striking.
Wire - This shot was taken from side stage at The Attic during a band's performance. I believe it shows great shadows and contrast as well as unique lighting.
Crazy Ride - This shot was taken of a carnival ride at the Clermont County Fair. This technique was created by using a slower shutter speed which leaves the lens open longer creating an exposure that blurs lights for a motion effect.
Reflective Beauty - This shot was taken at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Indianapolis. With this shot I wanted to create a more rustic feel and I believe I accomplished that with my choice of color and contrast.
Yellow Scooter - This shot is one of my favorites because of the vivid color, the retro subject, and the overall composition.
Check It Mate - This was taken of a chess set in my house. I believe the element of depth of field really makes this composition interesting.
