A Journey Back in Time
Children on the streets are playing a game of tag. We are running on a staircase and jumping off of the lower blocks; it’s a sunny, chilly afternoon in New York City and we all just left school. We all have some time to play with our friends before our parents expect us home soon. It smells like car exhaust, but it doesn’t bother us because we are used to it. I manage to jump the farthest away because I am taller than all of my friends.
