Analogous color theory is the mixture between three colors next to each other on the color wheel. The three colors used are blue-green, green, and yellow-green with tints of both yellow and blue on the outskirts of the diffused drop, successfully incorporating one-fourth of the additive color wheel.

Color theory includes the color wheel as well as many different theories that include different mixes of certain colors on the color wheel. It includes the visual effects of specific color combinations. Invented by Sir Isaac Newton, the color wheel is the basis for all color theory, later developing into the additive color wheel with both primary and secondary colors.
