The point of this project was to create logos that portrayed something about the town they were made for. Mackinaw City is where Michigan's lower and upper peninsulas meet. The bridge runs over Lake Michigan and Lake Huron is an iconic part of Michigan. The first logo I designed shows the Mackinaw Bridge. The second logo depicts a light house. Since Mackinaw City is on the bank of two lakes, there are many lighthouses. The third logo shows a bike. A short boat ride away from Mackinaw City, is Mackinaw Island. Bikes and Horses are the modes of transportation here, because there are no cars. There are many iconic things to choose from, but I believe that the three I chose represent what Mackinaw City is all about.
