Utilized expertise in project management, editorial layout, print advertising design and photography to create a wide range of products for internal and external customers-magazines, books, marketing collateral, and digital communications. Collaborated daily with RT-D Marketing Department and newsroom editors to produce strategic, lasting marketing materials, digital communications and targeted publications. Coordinated long-range planning of seasonal publications to meet sales and production deadlines. Key achievements:
• Concepted and directed the creative development of Richmond's new publication, Brick Weekly. Successfully directed a stable of freelance illustrators and photographers. Art direction and design responsibilities included: page layout, print and digital advertising, promotional items, outdoor advertising and all marketing collateral. Collaborated with editors and writers on features, articles and editorial concepts. Maintained high quality standards and visual integrity for the publication and all marketing materials. Operated innovatively while adhering to fixed deadlines and budgetary limitations.
• Concepted and designed the Richmond Times-Dispatch identity standards guide for appropriate usage of the company logo and its colors
