Damp Tennis - ...a tennis shoe inspired by Modern Architecture, through style and technology. (Lloyd's Bank, St. Mary's Axe, Burj al Araba in Dubai, & the Jewish Museum in Berlin). Designed by Mark Porter & Brent James
Solestice Wrap - Streetshoe - This was a project done for a drawing class. The inspirations were drawn from streetwear culture and two classic streetwear favorite by Tinker Hatfield, the AJ III and the Air Trainer.
Air Jordan XXIII - This was a project done for a kicksguide.com competition. I returned to an inspiration used by Tinker Hatfield referring to Jordan's nickname, the "Black Cat"
Beckham Arrival - This was another shoe done for a kicksguide competition. Beckham's recent arrival to the states and Hollywood were the inspiration for this soccer boot.
iPhone Shoe Developement - Some of the process...
iPhone Action - The was another shoe done for a kicksguide competition. The inspiration was the much anticipated iPhone. The shoe tries to incorporate the advance technology of the phone, while also being approachable.
Nike Air Mundus - This project was done for a drawing class. The goal was to produce a project of "inside-out design", meaning that the working parts of the product are exposed. This running shoe was developed to filter polluted air as you run.
Nissan-Adidas Mod - This was a running/sprinting shoe inspired by the new Nissan GT-R. The feature that inspired me the most was the "race mode" the car features. The shoe features a race mode and a training mode using a removable/replaceable outsole. One sole provides necessary cushion and support, while the other is rigid and lightweight, built for speed.
Lebron Zoom Soldier - This shoe was designed for the Lebron Soldier Line in response to a monthly Kicksguide Comp. The cues come from various Nike Families(Lebron Signature, Lebron Soldier, Zoom Air, Team Jordan) The goal was to harness and enhance the play of the newly appointed point forward position. Achieving that goal will allow the shoe to be versatile enough for players of all physical builds and skill levels.
Quick Sketching Assignments - Shoe done in the canson technique

  • I definitely like this shoe design. I hate the fact that most BB shoes are very bulky. Francisco makes a good point about the heal though...I think it needs to be a little wider for stability. Nice work!

  • Yeah, I did notice the resemblance, but felt it might work. They are actually voids, not applied stripes. The more I look at it, the more apparent it becomes that its too "Adidas". By surface, do you mean width or length? I was going for a slimmer, faster look. Why do BB shoes HAVE to be so bulky?

  • hey Brent,,I think is a bad idea to put three stripes on a Nike shoe. And you should give more surface to the heel,,,check BB shoes.
