Taking Back the Land
University of San Diego, Architecture Studio (Professor Juliana Maxim) - This project focuses on the extensive redevelopment happening in San Diego's downtown. With the construction of PETCO Park, many residences of the East Village have been forced to move due to the increased cost of living. This project takes back one of PETCO Park's often unused parking lots and redesignates it as a public restroom, soup kitchen and housing.
