Reporting directly to Creative Director as designer with accountability to design a collection of contemporary women’s ready to wear and to Re-Brand the once top’s only label to a complete ready to wear collection that includes woven/knit tops, bottoms, dresses and jackets. Responsibilities include directing all phases of collection design and development from-market research, fabric sourcing, fashion/flat sketching, fittings, draping and sample making to production. Managed a workroom of one patternmaker and two sewers.
• Implemented a successful transition from contemporary cut and sew tops label to a complete ready to wear collection.
• New development was well received and for the first time, top retailers such as Bloomingdale and Nordstrom picked up the label.
