100 ideas for a physical app. Here's our team along with other volunteers and participants at Unbox giving their inputs to finally decide upon one idea to implement.
The Arduino circuit with a photoresistor to activate the code upon messaging/calling the cellphone connected (a mock up of the SMS action to the helpline).
The programmed prototype. With just an SMS to the helpline, a bell rings making the birds on the bird feeder fly away, and LEDs glow like an evil eye. A twitter feed is sent to phones in the vicinity, saying "Look around, someone needs care. Get together. Share the Stare."

When one is in an uncomfortable situation, ‘Share the Stare’ helps one attract
the crowd. The individual’s discomfort will now anonymously be a part of
the people, and the hope is to make a community out of a crowd.
