Shruti Gadgil

This was a classroom project where a range of fabrics were to be created by taking an inspiration from the traditions and cultures of Ahmedabad city. The brief was to explore materials, similar to the inspiration and create ideas which could be translated on to the fabric. My inspiration was the black metal jewelry of Ahmedabad, which a characteristic feature of the 'Navratri' festival celebrated in Gujarat.
