TEXTILES N SPACE

This was a classroom project where we learnt the different aspects and attributes of different spaces, and how they could be changed or modified to enhance the experience, aesthetics and functionality of a space. We looked at the ability to design fabric structures and constructions in the selected space, which, for me was the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. My design statement for the space was ‘To design an interactive space which is simple and raw, by bringing focus on weaving and spinning activity for inspiring the present generation and to create an experience of devotion and peace.
