For this project we reviewed artist, Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Arcimboldo was a painter that was famously known for creating portraits using elements such as fruits, vegetables, etc. For this project we mirrored his work by repurposing a picture of our face using fruits and vegetables. During the beginning of this project that first thing that struck/ inspired me was the image of the chilli pepper. The peppers shape seemed to make me think of my nose due to the curve of the vegetable. To help me through this project, the tool I used the most was the quick select tool. The quick select tool helped me to highlight the exact areas that I wanted. Similarly I found the Eraser tool. When I didn’t want the exact shape I selected with the quick select, I used the eraser tool to form the shape that I wanted. In this project I learned how to quickly apply my new knowledge of command keys and certain photoshop tools. I also learned how to incorporate different photos into one piece.
