Reshirt: Exploring ecological and sustainable techniques by experimenting with a 'no-waste' concept on recycled clothing.
Reshirt: Experiment one: combining different childrenswear products using existing fastenings and safety pins to create a new womenswear product. No excess fabric was removed during the creative process therefore working within a 'no-waste' concept.
Reshirt: Experiment two: using an existing menswear shirt and additional fabric pieces left over from another experiment to create a new womenswear product. The body was shaped by pleating, gathering and stitching together the extra fabric so no excess fabric was removed during the creative process therefore working within a 'no-waste' concept.
Reshirt: Experiment three: combining a variety of products together to create a new womenswear product. No excess fabric was removed during the creative process therefore working within a 'no-waste' concept.

Reshirt: Exploring Eco and Sustainability

Reshirt:
exploring ecological and sustainable techniques by recycling existing unloved garments to give them a new life.
Each experiment was created with a 'no-waste' concept, meaning the excess fabric which is usually removed to give a tighter fit was manipulated using sewing techniques and was not cut from the original pieces. This minimises the impact the waste would have had on the environment if it had been removed and thrown away.
