Eco-System Composter

The Eco-System Composter is a self-sustaining ecosystem composting unit, producing food and fed by kitchen waste; it is the reconnection of kitchen and food. Food waste is not a concept in nature; everything from the soil returns to the soil - a restructure of how we see food waste is necessary.
The structure is built up around few components, keeping everything as simple as possible. Plants are grown in three sections and food waste in binned into the top of the structure mixing with old soil. The inside mechanism is gravity fed - when the plants are watered, the water drags the future compost to the next level of decomposition through a series of meshes. After a few months the user removes their carrots and uses the fresh compost from the bottom fills back up the pots with a topsoil of fresh compost and plants their seeds. The cycle then starts again.
