I worked intensively on the 3-position concept for optimum blade life on various sizes of workpiece. I worked out the spacings and developed ideal ways to operate such a sliding head for further engineering..
Contributing holes for bench dogs allows clamping of tapered or irregularly-shaped workpieces, offering never-before-seen advantages to the user.
elped develop the early crossbar clamping concept in collaboration with in-house engineers, who truly brought it to life - contributing the strength and mechanical improvements that made it perfect.
I worked on the clamp housing, but not the V-block or foot.

Evolution S355MCS - Heavy Duty Metal Cutting Chop Mitre Saw

A groundbreaking new saw that just launched - poised to make a big difference in the workshop and steel fabrication industry at large!

This was a big project and I worked in collaboration with our in-house engineers and the factory team to develop this excellent machine from the early stages until engineering and the factory's team came on to finalize things.

We developed a new saw concept for angled cuts that used as much tooling as possible from existing Evolution chop saws.
A new base was developed featuring a patented 3-position adjustable cutting head that helps to ensure optimum blade life for popular workpiece shapes and sizes. Additionally we incorporated 19mm holes for bench dogs on the table, which has never been done before to allow new opportunities for clamping and cutting.

Our engineers developed a superb crossbar-based adjustable clamping system to open up new possibilities for steel cutting in your workshop.
This new saw puts a lot of power into your workshop.
