Duna

Duna is a beach toy characterized by educational purposes and by its material, a biodegradable polymer made from natural raw materials. The product approaches the sea pollution problem caused by the plastic objects desertion proposing a double effect solution: working on the user’s education and on the product non toxicity.
Duna is composed by a biodegradable material made by 15% vegetable mix and 85% rice chaff.
Once molded, the bio polymer owns properties similar to plastic and wood: lightness, buoyancy, resistance to shocks; the result is a material characterized by long life in standard conditions, but capable of dissolving if put in water.
Duna reduces the environmental impact in 2 ways: it lasts in time, thanks to the material and to the shape that exhorts users to correctly recompose it, and at the same time isn’t harmful for the environment and for living species if accidentally forgotten on the beach, since it’s totally biodegradable.
