Kinetic Tree Sculpture

Waves of Joy is a A kinetic sculpture designed based on the sights and sounds of our national parks (sg)
The name ‘Waves of Joy’
refers back to the waves upon the sea accompanied by the breeze of the wind at the park which we enjoy our time there with friends and families.
The overall circular structure is influenced by a seashell while the supporting structure is adapted from a tree with leaves on its surrounding branches thus combining elements of modern and traditional design with the use of geometric shapes, mixed materials and mechanism.
*the mechanism (collapsibility of the leaves) shows that the sculpture is protecting itself from the weather changes – thus reflects our
act of protecting and preserving our national parks from any threat.
This sculpture is a symbol of joy and happiness (celebration) towards the act of preserving national parks.

Concept model is made up of sticks/cardboard/acrylic painted
