Singapore 2050 Hydro City
A Year 4 project that tried to imagine what Singapore will be like in 2050. Several key parameters were given by the studio at the start of this project- Rising sea levels, not enough housing for rising population, a sea wall encircling Singapore will be raised, and threats to food, energy and water securities.
The Hydro City project seeks to explore a lifestyle that is born out of changing environmental circumstances. It aims to embrace these changes positively. There are also several imagined but possible inventions such as suits to allow for breathing in underwater and water walking shoes.
