Senior Designer - Juvenile Design
Jan 2013 - Present (8 years 4 months)
At Infantino, I strive to develop products that will make babies happy and therefore make their parents' lives easier! The products I work on range from toys to travel products, with a focus on soft goods. This includes the complex and specialized world of baby carrier design.
My role keeps me involved through all stages of the design process. This starts with trend research and strategic planning. It continues with concept generation in the form of sketches, mockups, and renderings. I test the products I design, both with my own children and through in-home research with parents and their babies. As the focus narrows, I create or support the development of specification drawings that are used to communicate with our factories.
Designer - Design Director
Jun 2002 - Jan 2013 (10 years 7 months)
At Webb deVlam, I helped to bring brands to life with strategic thinking and packaging design innovation.
In my 11 years there, my role evolved from that of a junior designer to a fully immersed design director. The fast pace of a consultancy taught me to balance many plates at a time and wear many hats, taking ideas from a sketch to CAD to production. I managed initiatives for billion dollar clients, tying together their multi-functional teams to deliver brand strategy. At the same time, I stayed involved as a designer. I wrote proposals and crafted presentations, visualized concepts, and executed them in preparation for production.

I began my journey of branding and packaging design at LAGA. I learned how to use tools such as Solidworks, mockups, and renderings for creating packaging that supports its brand.
