In an effort to ground the project thesis in realistic data, Simulation CFD (Autodesk) was used to produce iso form shape that exceeded known aerodynamic performance of winning solar and gravity racer designs without compromising driver ergonomics.
From gained CFD research, ideal form was to narrow the body shape rather than a more conventional flat design. To achieve this, the driver's feet are arranged in bunk-bed fashion, one above the other.
