This main aim of this project was to design a bar for small to medium events which would be adaptable and modular to suit the needs. Often a trestle table was used, or a basic bar with added signage, and the finish was not easy to achieve. This was about making it easier to put lots of differently types of events.

An adaptable design was developed. This allows the unit to be used as a simple bar to serve wine, cans or food. The bar units can be lifted to install tap units to pour chilled beer through.
The whole unit collapses onto a single pallet for transport around New Zealand.

Beer events are a tough environment, we chose mild steel to age and tarnish over time. This was coated with clear powder coat finish to give added protection. Formply panneling for the bar top creates a tough and waterproof bar surface. All parts can be replaced or repaired.

A lightbox can be added on top. This avoids having to hang other signage from other structures.

Assembled, the bar can be moved around on castors, and additional panels can be added to customise the bar unit with new artwork.

The tap box units can be lowered to create a standard bar to serve food, cans or wine.

Supports for the top light unit slot into the base without needing tools. The two sides of the bar bolt together with standard bolt fixings.
