Freedom Seat - This is my final year major project, It is a seating system developed to improve access to sailing for young people with severe disabilities. The seat has inflatable membranes, which can be inflated to suit individuals requirements. This makes the seat highly adaptable and suitable for as many people as possible. Although the seat isn't designed specifically for one person or condition, I have developed it to be suitable for serious spinal injuries and Cerebral Palsy.

Tooling for seat moulding. inset shows close up of re-enforcement. - This image shows the 'male' mould tool i used for the shells of the seat. I used polyurethane foam for its ease of shaping and then covered the moulds with plaster to create a smooth finish.
