Alternative Weekly Newspaper Features
These samples primarily come from the 90s and early 2000s and I apologize for the small file size and being a crappy archivist with my work from that era. I swear to god, I still have stuff mounted to cardboard and laminated sitting in a box. When I started at The Rocket it was still analog and put together with paper and wax and color was laid down with acetate layers. It slowly started to change over time due to a heavy influence from our printers who led the way in embracing the digital technologies. Seattle Weekly stuff was a bit more advanced. Some of the illustrators and photographers featured here that I remember are Ward Sutton, David Belisle and Robin Laananen.
