Sometimes a special moment turns out to be a starting point of our work. The inspiration for AKI was the sun running through the branches of a tree, creating a wonderful atmosphere. To keep the sheer warmness of this situation and transfer it into the inside of buildings, we decided to create a large suspension lamp, completely made out of wood. The idea was to cut the form out of thin wooden plates, which then get glued together and pressed in the final shape. Small LED stripes give the thin structure it´s irresistible final charm. A little extra: Thanks to it´s open structure the Lamp size of 1200mm to 500mm only weights 2,5 Kg
