Degree Project: Pivot 3-21

A conceptual design approach on a community centre for Down syndrome as
the degree project, based on a design thesis study conducted. The different muscle condition of individuals with
Down syndrome was found to be a distinguishing factor of Down syndrome from
other special needs. A multisensory interior that enables students to engage on
multiple levels by encouraging them to use all of their senses is envisioned to facilitate
them indirectly as to supplement the scheduled multisensory therapies in special
rooms.
