Escher pendant lamp, based on the platonic solid the dodecahedron - In 2007, after having examined a paper model by M.C. Escher, it struck me how fantastic this unique geometrical figure would look in this special acrylic material.
The acrylic has two special characteristics - it refracts the colors of the spectrum, and it has a translucence/reflection effect, depending on the viewing angle. This means that the light source is simultaneously revealed, and reflected indefinitely. An abundance of patterns in all the colors of the rainbow dance on walls and ceilings, & it is as beautiful when the sun is shining through it as it is when lit.
In black it resembles a space capsule and in opal white it is stylish and classic
